I am an Associate Professor in the Department of Philosophy at the University of Montana. I am an Agrégée in Philosophy and a former student of the Ecole Normale Supérieure.
I have long worked on the philosophy of physics, especially the philosophy of quantum physics. More recently, my research interests have focused on general issues in the philosophy of the science and on issues in the foundations of ecology.
I regularly teach classes in the philosophy of science, the foundations of ecology, and in modern philosophy.
Finally, I am the coordinator of the prelaw program at the University of Montana. Please go to the UM PRELAW PROGRAM WEBSITE for more information.
I successfully defended my dissertation "Understanding Quantum Phenomena" in February 2008 in Nancy, France. I earned Ph.Ds both from the University of Nancy 2, France, and the Bielefeld University, Germany. My examination committee included:
